Saturday night was another great evening to get all dressed up and out on the town for a very good cause.  The Montgomery County Cattle Baron’s Ball is always a huge event here benefitting cancer.  As a spinal cord tumor survivor, this event really does touch me in a very personal way.  I know that almost all of us have been touched by cancer in some form or fashion if not personally then someone we know or love.  It is that one word we never, ever want to hear our doctor utter to us.

The ball was very well attended out at the newly renovated Del Lago La Toretta Resort and Spa.  Everything was perfect from the classy decorations to the great dinner.  The bidding was very lively as well.  Who said there was a down market?  You certainly could not tell from the generous amounts that were being spent!  Way to go Montgomery County!

My husband David and I were seated with County Judge Barb Sadler and his wife Mimi.  Also sitting with us were Jim and Nelda Blair.  Angela Speight and Misha Blair kept things very fun at our table too!  Dr. Stacey Rodgers and her husband rounded out our table.

Co workers Jacob Hebert and the lovely Jennifer Moriarty were there in style!  Jennifer is the daughter of our County Justice of the Peace Lanny Moriarty who was an awesome spotter for the live auction.  Jacob and Jennifer are our very own Ken and Barbie!  They help our team image a lot because they are so stunning!

Every year this ball keeps getting better and better.  I am certainly looking forward to seeing what the committee comes up with next year!

    HELLO,

I AM INTERESTED IN DOING VOLUNTEER WORK FOR THE 2009 MONTGOMERY COUNTY CATTLE BARON’S BALL. WOULD YOU BY ANY CHANCE HAVE CONTACT INFO OF SOMEONE I COULD CONTACT TO JOIN?

ALSO, I AM CONSIDERING A MOVE FROM TOMBALL TO LAKE CONROE….WAITING FOR THE ECONOMY TO GET A LITTLE BETTER - THE LISTING ON MY HOUSE RECENTLY EXPIRED. PERHAPS WE CAN DISCUSS SOME PROSPECTIVE AREAS ON/NEAR THE LAKE?

    THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
